Respondus 4.0 is a Windows-based, client authoring tool that's used to create and manage exam questions. The questions can then be published directly to a Learning Management System, from which the actual exam is delivered.
The Terms of Use for Respondus 4.0, into which the Privacy Policy and this additional Privacy Information is incorporated, must be agreed to by users prior to trialing or purchasing the software.
If you download the single-user version of Respondus 4.0 from respondus.com and proceed to trial or purchase the application, Respondus will collect your name, mailing address, email, telephone number and the unique Product ID for Respondus 4.0. We do not view or store your payment card information. A third party, PayPal, processes customer payment card information when Respondus customers use a payment card to make a purchase. We recommend you carefully review PayPal's Privacy Policy.
Ordering a campus-wide license for Respondus 4.0 involves providing business contact information for designated roles, the Administrator Contact and Authorized Support Persons. Respondus will collect the name, position, department, mailing address, email and telephone number for these contacts.
We collect this personal data so we can process your order and fulfill your purchase. The legal ground for processing your name, mailing address, email, telephone number and the unique Product ID for Respondus 4.0 for a trial or single-user license is performance of a contract. Processing personal data for a campus-wide license is performed on the basis of Respondus’ legitimate interest in administering and providing the service.
Personal data you enter into Respondus 4.0, such as a username and password for the learning system that content is published to, is stored locally on that device or network and isn't collected by Respondus.
