We offer a free, 30-day trial of the single user version of Respondus 4.0 only. This is the best way for individual teachers to try all features and functionality with their learning management system. To get started, simply download the single-user version of Respondus 4.0 and follow the instructions to register for the 30-day trial.
Flexible License Options
There are two ways to purchase Respondus 4.0:
- Single User: A single user license can be purchased online by individual teachers.
- Site License: A site license (described below) allows all teachers at a school or district to use Respondus 4.0.
Site License Pricing
There are two components to the site license pricing: a one-time registration fee and an annual fee.
Licenses renew annually on August 1. Institutions outside of North America are permitted to have a license that renews on January 1. Pricing for K-12 schools is based on the seat license for their LMS. Pricing tiers are listed below.

Price Quote
If you would like a formal price quote, email [email protected]. Be sure to include the name of your school or district, the learning management system (LMS) being used, and the number of seats licensed for your LMS. If your LMS is used by students in grades K-4, provide a separate breakout of LMS seats for grades 5-12. Annual fees are pro-rated on an academic year; request a quote to obtain the current prorate. All prices in U.S. Dollars and subject to change.
License Agreement
To obtain a site license, schools must fill out the Respondus 4.0 Site License Agreement and return it with a purchase order number or payment.
