How is a seat defined?
A "seat" is one student per course where Respondus Monitor is used. If a course has four exams that use Respondus Monitor, only one seat is counted per student. If a student uses Respondus Monitor in two courses, it is counted as two seats.
Is there a limit to the number of exams in a course?
There are NO limits — period. A course can use Respondus Monitor with 3 exams or 30. The length of the exams doesn't matter either.
What if we exceed our seat limit?
We’ve got you covered. We'll watch seat usage along the way and let you know if it's getting close to your selected limit. You can also track usage yourself from within the administrator area of Respondus Monitor. If your seat limit is reached, the system will keep allocating new seats, providing extra time to arrange for the purchase of additional seats.
Is a LockDown Browser License required?
Yes. Respondus Monitor is a companion product for LockDown Browser and cannot be used without it. Pricing for LockDown Browser is available here.
